Errico Formicola is one the greatest personalities in the world of the Neapolitan shirt. After working for Rubinacci and Kiton, he founds in 1997 the "Gaga" company with Luigi Borelli. The Gaga was a Neapolitan dandy during the first years of the past century, an elegant man "with a twist". The Gaga style is the ultimate expression of the Neapolitan style that is acknowledged nowadays: the perfect match between elegance and boldness.
The brand Errico Formicola itself has been created in 2006. It is now a family-run business, as Enrica, the daghter, ahs joined the great adventure of High-end Neapolitan shirts Errico Formicola!
Errico Formicola's Neapolitan shirt is renowned worldwide for the quality of the fabrics, each one of them coming from the mill of the famous weaver Albini, but also for its traditional Neapolitan construction. A very particular attention is taken to the details, and each shirt includes eight hand operations: buttonholes, buttons, the yoke, the collar, the sleeve gauntlet, the gusset and the armhole.
- Volontary mismatch at the armhole.
- 8 hand passages: the buttonholes, the buttons, the yoke, the collar, the sleeve gauntlet, the gusset and the armhole.
- The last buttonhole is sewn horizontaly in order to soften the tension on the fabric.
