Don Eugenio Calabrese, a Neapolitan gentleman, was used to choose every morning his "tie of the day", based on his morning mood. He owned more than 200 ties. It is interesting to compare this nice story with the words of the famous Neapolitan tailor, Renato Ciardi, who says that the pocket square is the essential piece for any gentleman, because it expresses our "mood of the day".
In order to share its passion for the tie, the essential accessory of the elegant man, Don Eugenio decided to create a workshop in 1920. This is how Calabrese 1924 was created. For four generations now, the membres of the Calabrese family have been giving birth to ties and accessories of great quality. In the small factory, established in an area of Naples where once were located many production units, Annalisa Calabrese welcomes you with a cup of "caffè" (typical italian hospitality), and invites you to admire the work of the craftworkers who cut, sew, and handroll the ties and the pocket squares. Calabrese 1924 is a "true neapolitan jewel".
Zampa Di Gallina is really happy to propose these little jewels of Neapolitan craftwork, such as the silk, wool or cashmere neckties, as well as the silk or wool handrolled pocket squares.
